In April 2016, Qantas will add one more weekly flight to its current six-times-a-week service, taking its total capacity on the route to more than 3,300 weekly seats.

Sydney-Dallas, which Qantas serves using its Airbus A380 aircraft, is currently the world’s longest commercial air route.

“We are delighted that Qantas is adding a seventh weekly frequency to their popular DFW to Sydney service,” said John Ackerman, executive vice president of global strategy & development at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW).

“The Qantas A380 service going daily a testament to the strength of the DFW market, and it is vitally important to business and leisure customers because it offers them more choices and additional convenience.”

Qantas operates the Dallas route as part of its trans-Pacific partnership with American Airlines.
