Japan is known for its timeless festivals and Princess Cruises offers the opportunity to see five different festivals across five different departures. Enjoy the marking of spring with Hanami (viewing of the cherry blossoms) during the Spring Flower Festival cruise or see the illuminated floats of Japanese warriors parade through the streets of Aomori during the Nebuta festival and witness the procession of 200 bamboo poles with lanterns weighing over 100 pounds all carried on the palms, foreheads, shoulders or backs of the celebrants during the Akita Kanto festival.

What's new for Princess Cruises in Japan in 2017?

Izumi Spa
Exclusively on Diamond Princess® sailings, the world’s largest open air Japanese bath at sea, with both indoor and outdoor bathing areas, evokes the serenity of a classic Japanese spa while you soak in spectacular ocean views.

My most awaited event in Japan is the Cherry Blossom Festival. A wonderful sight and excellent festival. I went there to Okinawa twice already in my entire life. And I am looking forward for a 3rd time.
